Kingsley Consulting is recruiting an Area Sales Manager to work for a leading Construction Product Manufacturer. Our client is seeking to appoint an Area Sales Manager (ASM) to help drive revenue and secure new business within their North East & Scotland Territories.   Our Client Partner over-delivers on value to their customers and with a prestigious history behind their successful brand, this role provides a fantastic platform to the successful candidate to develop their career with a leader in their sector.    If you have experience as an Area Sales Manager selling construction products into Merchants, Distributor’s and/or Contractors we would be keen to speak to you!   Coverage: Candidate to reside within North East area of the UK   Package: Salary Circa £45K -  Attractive Bonus Structure + Company Vehicle and a range of other benefits Role Overview   The Area Sales Manager for the North East will generate sales opportunities through existing and new client base within the geographical area by developing and maintaining positive day-to-day relationships with existing and new clients including Merchants, Distributors, Contractors, Main Contractors, and Product Retail Partners. This role is focused on growing the brand and reputation of the business in the  North East & Scotland Regions of the UK.    Ideally if you have building material / product experience gained within a Distributor or Manufacturer that would be beneficial, but our Client is looking for someone that can be a door opener and relationship builder within their Key Account base within this region, so other relatable construction product sales experience is very transferable to this role.    Some key deliverables:
  • Develop sales pipeline working closely with Merchants, Distributors, Contractors & End Users to introduce product capabilities and collaborate on future project activity.
  • To maintain regular and effective liaison with existing clients in order to understand their needs and drivers and exceed expectations. Maximise business opportunity through contractor sales channels and networking.
  • To ensure that you maintain a positive and proactive level of communication with the existing contractor network, including regular meetings, to build mutual trust and understanding.
  • To seek and create new business by developing a clear understanding of market sector opportunity in your area and prioritising specifying clients within these sectors.
Experience & Skills Required    The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
  • Ideally Construction Product background (Facade, Insulation, Roofing, Building Envelope etc..) gained within either a Manufacturer or Distributor
  • Must have Sales experience gained in a Territory focused role.
  • Dynamic relationship builder and very target driven.
  • Proactive and able to work successfully using your own initiative and approach.
  • Experience in a sales construction related environment or similar where relationship management is paramount
  • Experience of maintaining and developing customer and contractor relationships.
