Are you a skilled and experienced manual machinist looking for a new challenge?
We are seeking a talented and motivated manual machinist to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with manual lathes and milling machines, demonstrating accuracy and precision in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing components from prints using manual lathes and milling machines.
- Modifying existing components for gearbox test machines.
- Setting up and operating a Colchester Lathe (12" chuck), including accurate setup in a four-jaw chuck for modification tasks.
- Using a Bridgeport Milling Machine to produce hole patterns with precise location using a modern digital display.
- Meeting fine geometric tolerance requirements on most components.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to all safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with manual lathes and milling machines.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with setting up and operating Colchester Lathes and Bridgeport Milling Machines.
- Experience with using digital displays for hole location on milling machines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
