Key details:

Salary: £75,000-95,000

Location: Newcastle tech hub + very flexible hybrid working model

Future Outlook: Previous senior placements at this firm have progressed into lead/chief architect roles and managerial and strategic positions. Plus, many have remained technical out of choice. The choice will be yours, but there'll be a clear pathway if you'd like to progress into a new area.

Key experiences desired / what you will learn:

  • Data Modelling: Design and implement scalable, efficient data models that support business requirements.
  • ETL Expertise: Ensure data models are effectively integrated into ETL processes.
  • Data Governance: Implement and maintain robust data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Cloud tech: Utilise AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, Databricks and/or Snowflake to develop and optimise data models and workflows.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, to understand data requirements and ensure seamless data integration.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, metadata, and standards.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance the performance of data models, proactively addressing any issues.

Role overview: We're looking for a proper data modeller who has the battle scars of working with complex ETL processes, data warehousing, and a firm appreciation for data governance. Overall, the role will be a key strategic hire for the team.
