Senior Data Platform Engineer - Azure - Newcastle - Hybrid - £65k

Great opportunity for an experienced data engineer to join a rapidly expanding Data Platform team in Newcastle as a Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer. If you have a passion for data and desire to work with the most cutting edge modern technology and become a leader in your field, this could be the role for you!

Role & Responsibilities

  • Mentor: Guide and support team members within a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Architect and Design: Develop and implement data ingestion solutions on the Azure platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
  • You will leverage technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake and Python
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand and address their data needs
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in the Azure ecosystem, other technologies/methods, and data engineering, helping to drive continuous improvement within the team
