The Education Network is currently looking to recruit an Early Years Teaching Assistant to work within one of our partnership schools based in the Walbottle area. The successful applicant will need to understand the Early Years curriculum and be able to deliver this to the highest level possible.The role will be long-term term initially starting on supply with the opportunity to be employed directly by the school for the right candidate. Job Description:As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and learning of young children within our Nursery and Reception classes. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting the class teacher in implementing engaging and effective learning activities.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help.
  • Creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure the best educational experience for our students.
  • Promoting a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
Qualifications and Skills:To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • Experience working in an Early Years setting
  • Relevant Early Years level 2/3 qualification
  • Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
  • Full understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new learning environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and students
  • A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or a willingness to apply for one
