Teaching Assistant - Full-Time/Part-Time (January 2025)About the Role:Prospero Teaching is partnering with Primary Schools across Northumberland who are seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to support pupils across school years on a full-time or part-time basis from January 2025.Successful candidates will support the pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, working closely with the class teacher to promote positive learning outcomes. You will need to be a resilient, compassionate practitioner with excellent relationship-building skills. Key Responsibilities:· Provide 1:1 support to a pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour · Manage challenging behaviour in a positive and proactive manner · Build and maintain strong relationships with class teachers to support the pupils development · Prepare learning materials and resources for lessons · Supervise pupils during break times and lunch times · Interact and engage with pupils to encourage learning and build rapport · Liaise with parents and external agencies to discuss pupil progress What We Are Looking For:· Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service, or we can process a new one for you) · Childcare-based qualification (preferred but not essential) · Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff · Resilient, proactive, and positive nature · Previous experience supporting pupils in a school setting · Experience with 1:1 support is a plus · High levels of enthusiasm and energy when working with children · A genuine passion for helping young people fulfil their potential Why Apply:This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, inspiring, and enjoyable school environment.
