Your new companyOur client is an award-winning consultancy providing multidisciplinary environmental services to clients since 1997. They are looking for experienced Senior and Principal Ecologists to help support and develop their teams across the North of England. You will be joining a team of 45 ecologists based across the UK, who work on a variety of projects, such as housing, commercial, industrial schemes and major infrastructure projects. These projects are for a variety of different clients across the UK, such as Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Local and National Trusts and Strategic Developers.Your new role
- Leading the delivery of challenging and exciting ecological projects
- Technical report writing to a high standard
- Mentoring and managing the ecology team
- Developing and supporting the growth of the team
- Client liaison and business development in varying sectors
- Helping to support management across the UK
- Helping to complete ecological appraisals and assessments
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven track record as an Ecologist
- A relevant degree
- A valid UK driving licence
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
- Membership in CIEEM (ideal)
- Protected species licence holder (ideal)
- Project delivery and management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead and manage staff
- Good knowledge of BNG Legislation (Ideal)
