Join our team as an Electrical Design Engineer in Newcastle!
Are you looking for a challenging and exciting opportunity to work on renewable, oil & gas, and commercial marine projects? Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who can demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, Schematic Drawings, HV & LV systems with Variable Speed Drives. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems that meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- A degree or equivalent qualification(s) within Engineering.
- Experience working with Renewables/Offshore experience.
Skills:
AutoCAD - Proficiency using Computer-Aided Drawing software
Schematic drawings - Ability to create clear diagrams illustrating complex electrical designs accurately
HV/LV Systems - Knowledgeable about High Voltage (HV) power transmission lines/systems used by utilities/municipalities; Low Voltage (LV), distribution system primarily found inside buildings
Variable speed drives- Understanding how VSD's operate.
Responsibilities:
* Developing detailed design specifications based on project requirements,
* Creating schematics from scratch;
* Ensuring all designs comply with relevant health and safety regulations;
* Collaborating effectively with other engineers involved throughout the entire life cycle of each project;
Rate: 45/hour
Contract length: 6-month contract outside IR35 status.
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
