MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious Engineering client, based in County Durham, with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a permanent Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is a static role, where you will be responsible for plant wide proactive and reactive electrical maintenance activities, to ensure the optimum performance of the factory. You will be joining a secure, dynamic organisation, with an excellent team-based culture and fantastic opportunities to develop your skills.

The Job You’ll Do;

  • Promote a culture where the health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues is the absolute priority.
  • Ensure all statutory obligations, company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to at all times.
  • Act as a role model of company values and behaviours.
  • Work with the factory team to implement the strategic plan for the site.
  • Utilise a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to facilitate planned preventative maintenance and stock control.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, service and repairs.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance activities as required.
  • Ensure all relevant data is recorded accurately.
  • Application of the Management System to generate and facilitate continuous improvement practices across all areas of the manufacturing facility to optimise capability.
  • Work with the factory team and the wider business to make a positive contribution to the local community.
  • Continuously strive to improve the environmental performance of products and operations.

About You;

  • Time Served, Advanced Apprenticeship (NVQ L3) in Engineering Maintenance (Electrical), Electrical Installation, Electrical & Electrotechnical, Mechatronics (Electrical) or equivalent.
  • Three phase, Invertor Drive and PLC fault finding experience.
  • The ability to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment undertaking PPM and TPM activities
  • High degree of Health & Safety awareness
  • Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to electrical machinery problems within a production environment
  • Maintenance experience and fault diagnosis of Pneumatics and Hydraulics systems
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLC systems and fault diagnosis desirable
  • Computer literate in MS Word and Excel
  • Has knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation in a manufacturing workplace.
