We’re seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Professional to take ownership of health, safety, and compliance across a number of active sites in the North East.

Areas to cover are Sunderland, South Sheilds, and Tynemouth.

This is a full-time, on-site role for a minimum of 12 months FTC.

Ideally suited for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about promoting a safe and positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead H&S representative across multiple project sites
     
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
     
  • Promote and enforce compliance with UK health & safety legislation
     
  • Deliver training, toolbox talks, and guidance to on-site teams
     
  • Investigate incidents and implement preventative actions
     
  • Keep accurate records and documentation in line with company and legal standards
     
  • Collaborate with operational and site teams to drive continual improvement
     

What You'll Need:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (higher-level H&S qualification preferred)
     
  • Proven experience in construction health & safety, ideally on projects within live operational sites
     
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and safe systems of work
     
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across construction and operational teams
     
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
     
  • Full UK driving licence – car allowance provided
     
  • Chartered status not essential – solid site-based experience is what matters
