Audit Manager

A national firm of accountants are looking to appoint an Audit Manager to one of their offices in the North East of England (flexible to suit), to manage a portfolio of audit and assurance assignments.

Working with a wide ranging portfolio of clients both in the commercial and Not For Profit sector you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and timely completion of all audits to a high standard.

Supporting the Directors and leading the audit team to plan and carry out audit assignments you will ensure that all staff are completing audit work within the allocated timetable and budget. Your role will involve supervising staff across multiple sites and providing technical guidance.

As Audit Manager you will be heavily involved in communicating with your clients, updating them on progress and discussing your reports. You will be experienced to advise clients on areas of business improvement and negotiate the terms of business.

You will be encouraged to widen your network, attending events and building new relationships to acquire future work. This may involve creating proposals from time to time and introducing new services to existing clients.

We are looking for an Audit Manager with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience (ACA/ACCA) ideally in a practice environment.

You will have an excellent knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS (Consolidation experience is a must especially with overseas subsidiaries), sound knowledge of ISA’s, good report writing skills and ability to manage a team of double figures.

Previous experience with : CaseWare, IRIS and Mercia would be beneficial.
