Audit Manager Job Vacancy

We are actively seeking a dedicated and qualified ACA/ACCA professional with 2-5 years of post-qualification audit experience to take up the role of leader of the audit portfolio as an Audit Manager in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

The successful candidate will be confident to lead and oversee diverse audit client assignments, serving as a pivotal point of contact with the assignment partner and fostering enduring client relationships. You’ll assume a pivotal role within the management team, shaping and influencing various facets including resourcing, training, audit quality, and recruitment. We’re seeking someone who can play an instrumental role in mentoring and guiding the broader team from the get-go.

The Successful Applicant
  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years in audit roles within public practice.
  • Proven ability to lead audit teams and manage client engagements effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships, understanding their needs, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Ability to mentor, train, and develop junior audit staff.
  • Proficiency in overseeing multiple audit engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with audit software tools and accounting software packages.
  • Ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities, including cross-selling services and expanding client portfolios.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities and deliverables.
