Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a fantastic business in Newcastle on the appointment of a Finance Business Partner. Duties and responsibilities:

  • Preparation of accurate monthly Management Accounts with relevant insights and commentary (P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow).
  • Prepare and review reconciliations to verify the accuracy of the management accounts, and perform monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date variance analysis to budget and prior year on P&L.
  • Approval of journals.
  • Continuously monitor financial KPIs, P&L, cash position and balance sheet, identifying variances and recommending areas for improvement.
  • Preparation and review of monthly reporting packs and production and review of ad hoc cost centre reporting as requested.
  • Business partner with the wider business heads for overhead and cost centre reporting and budget/forecast discussions.
  • Assist in the delivery of and consolidation of monthly management accounts.
  • Carry out indepth analysis to improve the accuracy of cost accruals.
  • Provide support in response to external and internal audit requests.
  • Presentation to Senior Management at month end.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
  • Experiencing managing/supervising a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Workday systems experience (desirable).
  • Qualified Accountant with either, ACCA/ACA/CIMA.
