Reporting to the Head of Financial Strategy and Planning, the holder of this post has responsibility for supporting the provision of a professional strategic planning service to the Authority. You will be an integral part of a team that engages fully with senior leaders in the Authority and external stakeholders to support the delivery of the strategic objectives and the development of a medium-term financial plan.

  • Leading strategic financial planning, budgeting, and Spending Review strategy
  • Driving efficiency and savings, providing expert financial advice, and empowering a team of business partners.
  • Developing innovative funding models, influencing major projects, and ensuring robust business cases.
  • Leading financial aspects of benefits realisation and supporting key transformation initiatives.
  • Championing best practice, building a center of excellence, and making a real impact on healthcare

Profile

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following experience:

  • CCAB qualified accountant
  • Strategic financial problem-solver & business partner
  • Proven leadership, team management & mentorship skills
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management
  • Strong analytical, judgement, & influencing skills
  • Expertise in financial management, reporting, & systems
  • Experience developing financial strategies, policies, & business cases
