Paraplanner - Tyne and Wear

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Paraplanner to join a well-established Financial Planning practice with an unrivalled history of providing Independent Financial Advice to a wide range of clients throughout the UK. Over the years the Company's personal approach to financial planning has helped both clients and the Company to prosper.

Due to continued expansion, they have an opportunity to welcome their next long-term colleague within the Paraplanning team.

Job purpose:

To provide paraplanning support to a team of Financial Advisers helping to formulate financial plans and strategies as well as report writing.

Duties will include:

  • Contributing to the review and enhancement of technical research, report writing processes, systems and procedures to increase efficiencies in the technical team.
  • Carrying out necessary technical research and analysis to support the Financial Advisers and meet client needs and objectives.
  • Preparing cashflow modelling reports to assist with client retirement planning.
  • Preparing suitability letters across a wide range of advice types, financial products, investment, and pension solutions ensuring they are issued in the appropriate timeframe.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have experience working within the financial services industry preferably within an Independent Financial Adviser environment, spending some of this time working as a Paraplanner.
  • Solid technical product knowledge within pensions and investments and strong analytical skills.
  • A track record of delivering written financial advice be that as an adviser or a Paraplanner
  • The ability to positively influence others.
  • The candidate will need to be qualified to Level 4 Diploma status ideally.

The top end of the salary banding will be paid for candidates with a high level of qualification and experience in leadership.
