A leading wealth management firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Client File Reviewer to support its Client Due Diligence (CDD) operations. This is a fixed-term role for 12 months, offering the opportunity to contribute to the integrity of client data and compliance standards within a well-respected organisation.

This hybrid role, based in Newcastle, will suit a compliance professional with strong analytical and organisational skills who is looking to develop further within a client-focused environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each client and assessing the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) risk they pose. Key responsibilities include:

  • Re-risking client relationships using the AML risk rating tool.

  • Reviewing client files and performing CDD completeness checks.

  • Identifying and addressing data gaps, including Source of Wealth/Funds.

  • Communicating with clients and internal stakeholders to collect outstanding information.

  • Reviewing account activity to ensure it aligns with expectations.

  • Ensuring account structures are correctly documented and all parties are accurately recorded in internal systems.

  • Participating in ongoing training and maintaining up-to-date professional knowledge.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must be able to clearly demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in reviewing information.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • A working knowledge of compliance principles, particularly AML (can be developed in role).

  • An understanding of financial systems such as Avaloq is advantageous (can be developed in role).
