Hybrid PIP Assessor

Location: Newcastle

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000

Hours: Permanent, full or part-time

Merco Medical are proudly recruiting for a hybrid full or part-time Physio or Paramedic to work on the DWP's Personal Independence Payment service. 

As a Functional Assessor you will:

  • Use your broad-based medical experience and clinical knowledge to conduct paper-based reviews of claims, independent health assessments and to write reports for the DWP.
  • You will be using your critical reasoning skills and drawing upon your clinical experience, skills & knowledge to ensure that your part in the assessment process is positive, dignified, and professional. 
  • Use your clinical expertise in a new way whilst enjoying a great work-life balance with excellent benefits. 

Requirements:

  • At least one year’s post HCPC registration experience working with people aged 16 to 64. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be a competent user of IT.
