We are currently seeking a People Advisor to join our client and lovely People team based in Newcastle on a contract.

The opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Advisor to join a HR function to work with members of the wider people team. You will deliver expert advice and support to Line Managers.

You will:

  • Provide guidance on employee relations processes to managers and leaders.
  • Enhance managers' and leaders' capabilities in employee relations.
  • Manage sickness absence, offering coaching on adjustments and occupational health.
  • Monitor and address absence trends, advocating early intervention.
  • Demonstrate understanding of local well-being program initiatives.
  • Analyse and report data, producing monthly MI dashboards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Partnering Team to understand local business needs.
  • Lead the development of policies, ensuring operationalization within the region.
  • Adapt processes to meet business needs and create an optimal working environment.
  • Develop tools and training materials for proactive service and manager upskilling.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements within the People team.
  • Actively participate in the delivery of people priorities and projects.
  • Provide high-quality support for member experiences.
