A UK top 100 law firm with a fantastic reputation within the legal field is currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality & Compliance Auditor to play a key role in the ongoing development and implementation of the firm’s comprehensive internal audit function.

You will be required to have proven experience in audit and file reviews within a legal or professional services environment.

You will be reporting directly to the Director of Risk and Compliance, supporting the firm's ongoing compliance with its existing external certifications, including but not limited to ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO27001, CQS, SQM and any other certifications required to meet the needs of the firm.

Location:              Newcastle or Leeds or Manchester – Hybrid working available (40% in the office and 60% from home)

Salary:                  £35,000 

Hours:                  37.5 hours per week 

Duties: 

  • Create and maintain the annual Audit Schedule
  • Prepare and perform internal audits, including departmental file reviews in line with the Audit Schedule from end to end, including consultation with audit sponsor/Heads of Department, completion and verification of corrective actions within agreed timescales, report writing, trend analysis and record keeping
  • Plan and prepare for external audit visits and follow up of any identified findings and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain corrective action plans in keeping with the requirements of the firm's external certifications
  • Identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities arising from internal audits and file reviews, including changes to policies/procedures and process mapping
  • Create and maintain relevant audit metrics as a means of reporting to senior management and key stakeholders
