KM Recruitment is seeking a Residential Childcare Assessor/Trainer for a home/field-based position across the North East.
The salary for this role ranges from £30,000 to £37,000, with the potential for an additional £10,000 OTE through an excellent bonus scheme.
Candidates must possess either a recognized Assessor award or a teaching qualification at Level 3 or above, along with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Manager in a Children's Home.
A Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare is required, and experience delivering Apprenticeships in this field is preferred.
The role involves assessing learners, supporting their progress, and conducting online training sessions, with a full, clean UK driving license and flexibility for travel necessary.

Must hold either a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA OR Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET).
Hold a minimum of 2 years’ occupational competency as a Manager within a Children's Home.
Must hold a Level 5 in Residential Childcare as a minimum.
Ideally have experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Residential Childcare ideally up to Level 5
Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Must be flexible with travel.

Duties include:

Assess and support a caseload of learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships up to Level 5.
Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2.
Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and meetings are conducted.
Conduct online video meetings and training sessions with learners.
Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
Support, advise and motivate learners.
Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
