MTrec are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Newcastle, who are looking to recruit a new Production Planner to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The Job You’ll Do;

  • Create, issue and control production plans to ensure order fulfilment on time-in-full (OTIF) delivery.
  • Monitor end-to-end production process, workflow and plans to ensure production meets order fulfilment.
  • Ensure production plans are created in a cost-effective way that meets quality, safety, and environment requirements.
  • Suggest ways to optimise production planning and increase operational efficiency.
  • Establish and adjust priorities for specific customer orders.
  • Coordinate changes in plans to meet changing demands or resolve production issues.
  • Provide first line support for queries regarding finished product availability.
  • Develop and utilise the planning system to effectively plan and coordinate requirements and monitor status to ensure on time-in-full delivery.
  • Participate in planning KPI targets.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with cross functional departments to support both internal and external customers. 
  • Support the maintenance of effective forecasting within the business.

About You;

  • Demonstrable recent experience of working within a planning role in a complex or bespoke manufacturing site. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using planning systems, data analysis tools, and advanced MS office skills.
  • Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • High customer service ethic – is passionate about meeting customer expectations and improving service levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate across all levels of the business to foster collaboration.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Takes personal accountability for timely and effective delivery.
