We are looking for a dedicated Night Senior Care Assistant to join our team at our welcoming residential care home in Newcastle upon Tyne, specialising in elderly care and dementia. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a night care team and provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring they receive the support and respect they deserve.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the night care team, ensuring the smooth running of the home during night shifts
  • Provide personal care and support with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity
  • Administer medication and monitor residents' health in accordance with individual care plans
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and care records
  • Support and mentor junior care staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience as a Care Assistant with strong knowledge of elderly care
  • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role is preferred
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Training in Medication Administration
  • Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lead a team and work independently on night shifts
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care
