Cleaner Supervisor

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: £25,584 - £26,409 per annum, pro rata (£24,201 - £24,981 actual salary)

Hours: 35 hours per week, 08:00 - 15:30 (including 30 min break)

The council works across Newcastle and Gateshead providing building cleaning, caretaking, school meals and welfare catering services.They have a large team of cleaners, cleaner supervisors, facility supervisors (caretakers), catering assistants, assistant chef’s and chef’s working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings. Their service is committed to delivering a high standard of service to our customers and in doing so investing in their staff and staff development.

The Role

An opportunity exists for a suitable individual to work within the Facility Services Division of City Operations, Neighbourhoods and Regulatory Services Directorate as a Cleaner Supervisor in Newcastle upon Tyne.To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have good communications skills, the ability to work with limited supervision, be capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting, and carrying of equipment and materials. Experience managing large teams in a school or similar environmentwould be an advantage.
