Anderselite is a leading recruitment agency working on behalf of a regional housing association committed to delivering high-quality, affordable homes across the Northeast. With an ambitious plan to deliver over 1,000 homes in the next five years, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Housing Development Manager to join our client's team.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage housing development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and local authorities to secure planning permissions and ensure compliance with regulations.
Oversee project budgets, financial forecasting, and cost management.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that arise promptly and effectively.
Ensure all projects align with strategic goals and contribute to the overall growth and success of the association.

Requirements:

Proven experience in housing development or a related field.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of planning and building regulations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid working environment.
A commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable housing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate Development, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PRINCE2 / APM) is desirable.
Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is an advantage.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be a natural leader with a confident, independent, and proactive approach.
Demonstrate knowledge of the housing sector either through educational qualifications or experience.
Have a working knowledge of affordable housing, including the planning process, Homes England practices, and housing policies, as well as basic construction knowledge.
Possess excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills, and experience in establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
Have good problem-solving skills, able to identify weaknesses within systems and procedures.
Have experience in securing and delivering new development opportunities.
Have good business management skills and an understanding of delivering excellent customer service in a social and commercial setting.
