We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Assistant to join the HR team. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative and operational support across the full employee lifecycle.
You’ll be the go-to person for HR administration, helping to maintain accurate employee records, support HR processes, and contribute to creating a positive employee experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their HR skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What’s involved in this role:
HR Administration & Data Management
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HR system, ensuring all data is up to date and compliant with GDPR.
- Support with new starter onboarding, including collecting documentation, setting up employee files, and coordinating induction sessions.
- Administer employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and contract variations.
- Assist in managing absence records, tracking annual leave, and producing reports.
Employee Lifecycle Support
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing guidance or escalating where appropriate.
- Support the leaver process, including processing resignations, conducting exit interviews, and handling offboarding administration.
- Assist with probation and performance review processes by tracking dates and ensuring documentation is completed.
HR Projects & Initiatives
- Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives by supporting events, communications, and data tracking.
- Assist with employee engagement activities, such as surveys, events, and wellbeing programs.
- Provide administrative support for HR-related projects, such as system updates or policy reviews.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies in all HR processes.
- Support with producing reports and HR metrics, such as headcount, turnover, and absence data.
- Support with audits and ensure documentation is accurately maintained.
Experience we need
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience as an HR Assistant or HR Administrator.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HR systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- A proactive and collaborative mindset.
