The Role

As a Recruitment Assistant, you’ll be part of a small and collaborative People Team that thrives on working together to support each other. Everyone rolls up their sleeves and pitches in when needed, so the ability to adapt and get things done is crucial. Key Responsibilities

  • Write and manage job adverts: Create engaging, clear, and compelling job descriptions that stand out to top talent.
  • Manage online profiles: Keep Glassdoor and Indeed pages fresh and aligned with the company’s vibrant culture.
  • Collaborate with recruitment partners: Build strong relationships with agency partners to support seamless hiring processes.
  • Screen candidates and applications: Review CVs and conduct warm, professional phone screenings to identify the best fit.
  • Coordinate interviews: Work closely with hiring managers to manage schedules and deliver a smooth interview process for candidates.
  • Engage with candidates: Maintain regular communication to provide updates, answer questions, and create a positive candidate experience.
  • Handle offers and feedback: Celebrate successful hires with offers and provide constructive feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
  • Support onboarding: Lead welcome day introductions and ensure new starters feel confident and supported from day one.
  • Ensure compliance: Verify and record right-to-work checks promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain HR systems: Add new starters to the HRIS and ensure access to all perks and benefits is set up correctly.

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience in recruitment: At least 1 year in a similar role, with a solid understanding of the hiring process.
  • A passion for HR: Stay curious about trends and contribute proactive ideas to the team.
  • Strong organisational skills: Prioritise effectively and maintain attention to detail across multiple tasks.
  • Confident communicator: Build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues.
  • Team player: Thrive in a collaborative environment where everyone works together to achieve goals.
  • Proactive and hands-on: Be ready to roll up your sleeves and get things done when it matters. Be able to manage multiple roles across different levels at once.
  • CIPD qualification: While not essential, working towards or holding this qualification would be an advantage.
