Reed HR are supporting a professional services organisation in Newcastle to recruit a HR Advisor. The purpose of this role is to assist in guiding and managing HR services, policies, and strategies, advise employees on HR issues, and develop and maintain strong communication channels and relationships with managers, colleagues, employees, and external parties. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Develop and deliver briefings on various HR-related topics.
  • Provide consultation on workplace relations, training, and performance management.
  • Offer guidance on policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Manage payroll operations.
  • Conduct and supervise grievance, disciplinary, and capability investigations and hearings.
  • Generate reports, compile statistics, and complete HR projects as requested by managers or partners.
  • Attend employment law meetings and seminars to stay updated on HR best practices and employment legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices, including process streamlining.

Experience required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a generalist HR related role 
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and legislation
  • Generalist HR experience within an HR environment
  • Experience in providing advice and support to senior managers on strategic matters
