Your new companyHays HR is supporting a large construction organisation located in the North East on the recruitment of an HR Advisor to join them in an interim position for 18 months. This position sits within the HR team working on site with 1 day working from home. Your new roleIn your new position, you will report into the Group HR Manager and be supporting 6 divisions within the organisation on a wide range of people related issues. You will be the first point of call to provide HR advice and guidance in line with company policies and procedures, ensuring you are coaching and supporting managers within your divisions to be more proactive with their approaches to employee relations matters. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support and advice to managers on ER cases on a range of people matters; disciplinary, grievances, absence management and capability/performance management.
  • Ensuring policies and procedures are kept up to date in line with employment law changes
  • Involved in support on HR projects and initiatives
  • Analyse HR data and MI reporting and communicate within your division
  • Support leaders to understand what drives employee engagement and implement programmes to support this

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful, you will need to be located in the North East and have experience with the following:

  • Strong Employment Law knowledge
  • Experience managing complex ER cases (managing the full lifecycle)
  • Experience working as a Generalist HR Professional previously
  • Multi-site experience
