Design and Technology (DT) TechnicianNewcastle Temporary basis ASAP Start Must have an enhanced DBS registered to the update serviceWe are currently supporting a Newcastle School who is seeking a dedicated and skilled Design and Technology (DT) Technician to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for supporting students and staff in the DT department.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, set up, and maintain equipment and materials for DT lessons.
- Assist teachers and students during practical lessons and projects.
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained in good working order.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Support the development and implementation of health and safety policies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to students on their projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience as a DT Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of DT equipment and materials.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to support students effectively.
