 IT Project Manager – Newcastle – 12 month fixed term contract

VIQU are working with a leading international organisation who are looking to hire a project manager to manage a large laptop and network project they have planned.

The role will involve orchestrating the delivery of a multiple large projects. This will include two separate projects: a laptop refreshes initially, replacing old companywide hardware and distributing new equipment followed by a network refresh. The ideal candidate must have managed similar projects on a large scale. This is not a hands-on role and would involve working closely with third parties to complete the projects.

Essential requirements of the IT Project Manager:

-          2+ years of experience running similar large scale hardware and network refresh projects.

-          Previous experience liaising with third parties to complete projects.

-          Strong communication and organisational abilities to manage multiple projects.

-          Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.

-          Relevant project management certifications are an added bonus.

Responsibilities of the IT Project Manager:

-          Lead and manage end to end IT projects, ensuring timely completion and that they are within budget.

-          Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and effectively communicate project requirements to all stakeholders.

-          Keep track of project delivery.

-          Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third parties to ensure project requirements are met.
