Pastoral Manager – NewcastleThe Education Network is currently working in partnership with a school in Newcastle in search of a Bridge Manager/Pastoral Manager. The role is to commence in ASAP.Job purpose:To work as part of the Deep Support Team to promote learning and welfare of vulnerable students and those who experience barriers to learning, which impact their ability to access their education and wider school life. Working under the direction of the Senior Year Leader you will support the re-integration of pupils back into school through intervention and extended support.Essential requirements:
  • Experience working with children and young people in a secondary school setting
  • Knowledge of issues affecting students and young people and strategies to engage them in positive behaviours for learning
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent written communication and high standards of literacy and numeracy (demonstrated through a level 2 qualification in English and mathematics or evidence of commensurate experience).
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with students, parents and colleagues at all levels.
  • A strong commitment to Trust values and Ethos and commitment to the Trust’s agenda for safeguarding and equality and diversity
  • A flexible approach to work
