JDI Legal are currently working with a thriving L500 City Centre firm who are recruiting an experienced legal secretary to support their litigation solicitors on a range of contentious matters.
The role is full time, Monday - Friday and 9-5pm and operate from centrally located offices in the buzzing city of Newcastle.
Candidates who have experience of working in a legal secretarial OR pa capacity are encouraged to apply. The role will involve preparing correspondence and Court documents, sorting and collating enclosures , diary management, client liaison, obtaining witness availability, administrative tasks, file management, formatting and amending documents, paying disbursements etc. The role will work from the office full time.
Candidates MUST have a secretarial background, have fast accurate typing skills of 60wpm, be familiar with digital dictation, a confident telephone manner, a safe and reliable member of the team.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm or legal environment.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills to maintain an orderly filing system and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with IT systems relevant to legal practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
