Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with an amazing client in Newcastle in their search for an experienced Office Manager to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.
Working in a small team, your duties will include:
•        Process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
•        Maintain and update employee payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and tax information.
•        Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.
•        Credit control including chasing overdue invoices.
•        Processing bank payments and performing bank reconciliation.
•        Processing VAT returns.
•        Prepare and submit financial reports.
•        Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
•        Assist with audits and other financial reviews as needed.
•        Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll and financial inquiries.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
•        Proven experience in payroll processing and accounts management.
•        Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll regulations.
•        Proficiency in Sage accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
•        Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
•        Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
