Primary School Office Administrator

Do you have experience of working in a busy school office? At Reed Education we are supporting a primary school in Newcastle who require a School Office Administrator to support with the smooth running of the school.

Role Overview:

As the Office Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining efficient administrative and clerical support for the school’s daily operations. Your role will involve managing office tasks, providing excellent customer service, and collaborating closely with the school staff, parents, and students. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the front desk by warmly greeting visitors and providing them with necessary information and assistance.
  • Maintain student records, including attendance, assessments and personal information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate school events, meetings, and parent-teacher meetings, including scheduling, logistics, and communication.
  • Assist with the preparation of school documents, reports, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, and other correspondence, and share them with the appropriate staff members.
  • Manage office inventory and supplies, and liaise with vendors for procurement as needed.
  • Support the administrative team in various tasks, including data entry, filing, and other administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an office administrator, administrative assistant, or relevant role.
  • Proficiency in office management software (e.g., MS Office, Google Suite) and excellent computer skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
