The School and Role
A First School based in Newcastle Upon Tyne are looking to employ a KS1 Teacher to work full-time from January 2025. The successful candidate will be working within a Year 1 class, consisting of 28 pupils, all working at various levels. The Teacher appointed will be expected to take on all class teacher responsibilities, including planning and marking and previous experience of delivering Read, Write, Inc Phonics is essential. This is a long-term role with potential to turn permanent.

Requirements

The desired Teacher will have:
• Experience of teaching within KS1.
• Experience of delivering Read, Write, Inc Phonics.
• An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• The ability to plan and deliver differentiated learning.
• An excellent understanding of how to support pupils with SEND.
