Senior Payroll Administrator (off payroll)

Tenth Revolution Group have a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our Central Services team in Newcastle!

As Senior Payroll Administrator you will play an integral part of our Business Support back office function, responsible for processing multiple payrolls for our contractors working with our clients (off payroll contractors - eg Limited Company workers).

Experience in running off payroll / external payrolls or high volume complex payrolls is required.

You will also be responsible for team leading a small team of junior payroll administrators, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress their career within payroll and take on some team leading duties. (previous TL experience isn't required, however some experience mentoring or training would be beneficial)

This position will be office based full time during training and probation, then move to hybrid (2-3 days office).

As Senior Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for -

  • Oversee & assist with Timesheet, Payroll and Billing processing for contractor payroll; Ensuring 100% accurate entry and maintenance of data;
  • Daily and weekly revenue reporting out to Sales business where required.
  • Act as first point of escalation on the team to resolve issues;
  • Provide continued process improvement ideas and take initiative to research updated legislation and compliance requirements;
  • Raising Contract specific sales invoices and ensuring receipt by clients.
  • Raise payrolls and expense payments in line with SOP's and Payroll calendars
  • Key point of contact escalation for Contractor and Client queries and Customer Care related tasks and follow ups via Service Hub, email, Phone or Face to Face
  • Manage the onboarding and training of all new team members
  • Act as a credible deputy in your manager's absence
  • Manage the team & workload day to day i
  • Run team meetings as appropriate

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Previous experience running payroll for contractors /external payroll / off payroll (essential)
  • Experience running multiple high volume contractor payrolls
  • Compliance focused
  • Previous experience in mentoring or training team members would be beneficial
  • Experience of CRM/ERP systems such as Salesforce and Sage are ideal but not required;
  • Confidence in working with multiple languages/countries; second language ideal but not required

The successful candidate will be a perfectionist, paying attention to detail to produce highly accurate results. You will be analytical with an ambition to problem solve and be able to constantly act with professionalism, remaining confidential at all times.

Working in payroll is a time and deadline sensitive role, so you will need to be able to work at pace and with accuracy in order to meet deadlines and be adaptable within a fast paced and changing environment.
