Assistant Project Manager – Rail

Morson Talent is working with a leading player in the rail sector, to recruit an Assistant Project Manager to support their growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist in delivering projects to time, cost, and quality, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental guidelines.
- Progress Reporting: Monitor and report programme and progress, ensuring alignment with project reporting systems and company guidelines.
- Change Management: Support the development and integration of effective systems to manage and control project changes.
- Possession & Isolation: Process contractor possession and isolation applications in accordance with prescribed timescales.
- Performance Monitoring: Track contractor performance indicators and provide periodic progress reports.
- Safety Assurance: Support the Project Management team in maintaining a safe working environment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Assessments: Ensure generic and site-specific methods of working are followed, and manage risk assessments in line with agreed timescales.
- HSQE Compliance: Monitor contractor compliance with HSQE risk assessments, ensuring the highest safety standards are met.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience: Some management experience, including project management.
- Qualifications: Educated to HND/HNC level or equivalent.
- HSQE Awareness: Strong understanding of HSQE principles, issues, and best practices.
Desirable Criteria:
- Professional Development: Membership (or working towards membership) of the Association for Project Management.
- Further Education: A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
