The Project:
This exciting role involves managing a variety of highway projects focusing on concrete repair and rehabilitation. You will be responsible for delivering projects that improve the condition and longevity of the region's roads, bridges, and other critical infrastructure.
The Role:
As Project Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage the successful delivery of highway maintenance and construction projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, specifically focused on concrete repair techniques and methodologies.
- Manage and coordinate a team of engineers, site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers specializing in concrete repair and rehabilitation.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve challenges, and implement solutions to ensure project success.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients (e.g., local authorities, highways agencies), stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards, particularly those related to concrete repair and highway maintenance.
What We're Looking For:
- A proven track record in project management within the highways sector, with a strong emphasis on concrete repair and rehabilitation projects.
- A deep understanding of concrete repair techniques, including various methods for patching, strengthening, and waterproofing concrete structures.
- Experience managing projects involving concrete removal, replacement, and reinstatement within a highway environment.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project management tools.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
