The SPV Project Manager will be responsible for the successful management of contractual obligations, financial performance, and risk mitigation within an SPV framework. The role involves close collaboration with key stakeholders, including investors, service providers, and clients, ensuring the effective operation and long-term success of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project and Contract Management:
- Oversee the delivery of SPV projects, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Act as the main point of contact for all project-related matters, managing relationships between stakeholders, investors, and service providers.
- Ensure project governance is adhered to, reporting on financial performance, risks, and operational effectiveness.
- Implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate project-related risks.
Financial and Commercial Oversight:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and value for money.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Oversee invoicing, cash flow, and financial forecasting for SPV projects.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, contractors, and client representatives.
- Act as a liaison between the SPV board, facilities management providers, and external consultants.
- Ensure clear communication and reporting on project performance, risks, and compliance issues.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure SPV projects adhere to legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and performance reviews, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Stay up to date with relevant industry legislation, ensuring best practices in project management and compliance.
Operational Performance and Service Delivery:
- Work closely with Facilities Management teams to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of assets.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Oversee lifecycle planning and asset management strategies to maximize the long-term sustainability of the project.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in project management within an SPV, PFI (Private Finance Initiative), or PPP (Public-Private Partnership) environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets and financial reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Strong knowledge of contract management, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Experience in Facilities Management, infrastructure, or construction projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial and operational data to drive informed decision-making.
- Proficiency in project management tools and reporting software.
