Castlefield Recruitment is seeking a Procurement Officer for a 12-month fixed-term contract in the North-East, offering a salary of £29,000.
The position requires the candidate to work on-site one day a week, with the remaining four days being remote.
The role involves leading low value/low risk procurement projects and supporting key supplier reviews.
Candidates should have experience in a procurement team within either the public or private sector, along with a grasp of commercial cost improvement initiatives.

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector Organisation in the North-East to recruit a Procurement Officer to join the team on a fixed-term basis.

The role offers an attractive benefits package and a hybrid working policy; with the requirement to attend the office 1 day per week, with the other 4 days working from home.

Role:

Lead a number of low value/low risk procurement projects with support
Provide support for a range of key supplier reviews
Ensure all procurement documentation is completed and approved within the required timescales

Individual:

Experience within a procurement team in the public or private sector
An understanding of commercial cost improvement initiatives
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience of working in challenging complex environments
