Senior Procurement Officer | £33,000 | North-East | 1 day per week on-site | 12 month FTC | Public Sector

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector Organisation in the North-East to recruit a Senior Procurement Officer to join the team on a fixed-term basis.

The role offers an attractive benefits package and a hybrid working policy; with the requirement to attend the office 1 day per week, with the other 4 days working from home.

Role:

  • Assist with tender processes, e.g. mini competitions
  • Support and undertake procurement projects, including planning and developing commercial options 
  • Provide consistent and legally compliant, complex procurement and commercial advice to senior management
  • Support and undertake spend analysis  

Individual:

  • Significant procurement experience in the public sector
  • Working knowledge and understanding of relevant public sector legislation
  • Experience of managing multiple projects of varying complexities
