SPV / PFI Quantitiy Surveyor

My client are a leading infrastructure investor with a varied portfolio of assets looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their technical team. Experience within the SPV / PFI field is a must so would suit someone from an FM / SPV or consultancy background looking for a new challenge with a highly regarded organisation who offer significant development opportunities and a supportive culture.

£65K - £75K salary, 20% bonus, 10% pension scheme, 28 days annual leave, hybrid working, life assurance.

Key reponsibilities:

  • Preparing, negotiating, and analyzing costs for tenders and contracts.
  • Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs.
  • Performing risk, value management, and cost control during construction.
  • Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work, and adjusting budget projections accordingly.
  • Preparing regular board level reports to monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigating action
  • Advising on a range of legal and contractual issues.
  • Valuing completed work and arranging for payments.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key skills and experiences:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to dissect technical information for the relevant audience
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Self-motivated, capable of working without supervision and as part of a team
  • Ability to organise own workload in a time sensitive environment
  • Proven PFI / SPV contract understanding

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Membership or accreditation from recognized professional bodies such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
