Elvet Recruitment has been appointed to recruit for a Commercial Administrator to join a business in Newcastle
This is a full-time and permanent position offering part-time hours, which can be worked flexibly. For example, this could be 4 hours per day, 5 days a week, or 2/3 full days. etc.
Duties will include maintaining relationships, managing a subcontractor database, and collaborating with other functions to ensure budget and project deliverability.
Main Responsibilities
- Distribute daily posts to relevant Buyers.
- Maintain accurate subcontractor, supplier, and plant databases.
- Assist in tendering subcontractors and materials, and manage health and safety files.
- Process new subcontractors and maintain potential subcontractor files.
- Issue Health and Safety Newsflashes and chase responses.
- Manage Plant On Site Database and liaise with site teams.
- Create and manage Framework Agreements.
- Assist in creating handover packs and scanning job files.
- Handle calls and messages for the Commercial Team.
- Process orders and sub-contractor payments, and address payment queries.
- Assist with Options Online and liaise on Site Waste Management.
- Send out NHBC CQR Inspections and Self-Billing Agreements.
- Print drawings and perform specific tasks requested by the Commercial Director.
- Maintain department calendars, archive/shred documents, and manage stationery levels.
- Ensure compliance with the Operating Framework.
- Book meetings, provide refreshments, and place lunch orders.
- Provide cover for the Receptionist as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in the construction orhouse building industry
Salary circa 25,000 - pro-rata
