Wine Bar Managr

We have an incredible opportunity in Newcastle for a Wine Bar Manager to join us in an exciting new venture, Angel's Share (wine Lounge).

We are situated in the centre of Jesmonds busy community shopping area with a planned opening date at the end of April beginning of May and we are keen to start our search for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team as Wine Bar/Lounge Manager.

Angel's Share will be the place to enjoy and share a glass or bottle of wine with friends accompanied by a selection of small plate and sharing board options. This bold and new concept incorporates wonderful table service, self service wine dispense and a range of locally produced produce. We require an enthusiastic and passionate individual to help start and grow the ethos and culture of Angels Share from the very beginning.

It will be your job to work with the owners to create a warm and welcoming environment centred around customer experiences, repeat business, great individual service and always exceeding expectations.

We aim to become a major part of the Jesmond community scene creating a place people will want to make their own and relax with friends and family. The perfect place to sit, drink and eat lite bites and most importantly share time together.

As Manager at Angel's Share, youll play an essential role in delivering an outstanding experience for our guests while nurturing and inspiring your team. As Manager, youll lead the team and oversee daily operations to ensure our exceptional service and standards are upheld. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for people, wine, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in hospitality.

The Ideal Candidate:

Strong wine knowledge, ideally WSET Level 2 or higher, with the ability to confidently recommend and pair wines.

At least 10 years experience in hospitality with 5 of those years experience in wine bar , café bar or Restaurant management

Lead by example, creating a welcoming, collaborative, and vibrant atmosphere for both guests and team members

A personable and approachable individual who makes customers feel welcome and valued.

A strong business manager with experience in managing Budgets and delivering P&L expectations whilst driving sales, managing stock, and overseeing daily operational aspects.

Attention to detail is paramount. Oversee daily operations of the bar, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency

Fully conversant with the compliance requirements required by EHO, HSE and who has the ability to manage the site in accordance with those obligations.

Skilled in training and team development, ensuring staff are knowledgeable and engaged, good with customers and focussed on delivering quality service to all.

Committed to delivering the high expectations of owners, maintaining exceptional service and presentational standards.

Hire, train, and mentor bar staff, helping to foster their growth and development
