Business Development and Account Manager - Water Treatment Industry (North East / Tyneside Region) - Hybrid / Remote working with some travel required (North East)

A leading business in the water treatment industry, who are passionate about the service they deliver and the wellbeing and development of their employees.

As the Business Development and Account Manager within the Sales & Operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients while generating new sales. helping customers meet their water treatment needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
  • Generate new sales opportunities.
  • Promote and sell products, solutions associated technologies.
  • Develop and execute customer account plans, including generating quotes and managing purchase orders.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and escalate issues when needed for resolution.
  • Coordinate support resources for both existing and new accounts.
  • Carry out water analysis/testing and reporting where necessary.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets in your territory.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and company strategies.

What you will need

  • Experience: Proven account management or sales experience in water/process treatment or an industrial plant environment.
  • Education: A technical qualification in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Skills: Strong sales strategy knowledge, relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage projects and exceed targets.
  • Technical Expertise: Understanding of specialty water and process chemicals and monitoring technologies.
  • Other: A UK driving license is essential.
