The next phase in the venture is to open the newly refurbished retail space which will primarily operate as a gift shop providing a range of carefully sourced gifts and products. Bamburgh Walled Garden is a family owned business operating along with Bamburgh Castle, albeit at opposite ends of the village. Nigel Wright Group are proud to be continuing their relationship with the Bamburgh Castle Estate in exclusively supporting the search for an experienced Retail Manager. This is a brand new role and is crucial in successfully launching the retail space. The Retail Manager will be responsible for everything from stock ordering and inventory control to hiring and training a team. Role Profile:•   Manage day-to-day operations of the gift shop, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining a clean and organised store environment.•   Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Coordinate with the marketing team to promote the shop, special offers and events.•   Oversee inventory levels, order stock, and ensure timely restocking of products. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate stock management.•   Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer enquiries and resolving any issues promptly. Train staff to deliver a high standard of service.•   Recruit, train, and manage the necessary sales associates. Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak times.•   Create attractive and engaging product displays to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.•   Monitor sales performance, prepare sales reports, and manage the store budget.
