Job Description:As a Social Worker in the Assessment Team, you will be responsible for completing timely and thorough assessments of children and families.Your role will be central in identifying risks, developing plans for intervention, and working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to ensure children's safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out assessments of children and families to identify needs, risks, and protective factors.
  • Work closely with children, parents, and professionals from various agencies to gather relevant information.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to safeguard and promote the well-being of children.
  • Ensure all assessments and reports are completed in a timely manner and in line with statutory guidelines.
  • Attend child protection conferences, core group meetings, and other multi-agency meetings.
  • Keep accurate records of casework in line with legal and professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in an assessment or child protection role within children's services.
  • Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to manage a caseload, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
