Advocate - Northumberland

A reputable organisation is looking for an Advocate/Social Work professional to cover their Northumberland region. The role will be responsible for visiting clients in care homes to ensure they are happy with surroundings, have a representative and that care plans are in place. Duties will include:

- Supporting clients to help them understand their rights

- Working in line with legislation across mental health, care and human rights acts. 

- Ensure care provided is within the clients best interests

- Raise any safeguarding concerns

To be considered suitable you will need the following skills/experience:

- Ability to commute to care homes in the Northumberland region (mileage costs covered)

- Social care background and understanding of legislation 

- Experience in advocacy would be advantageous
