As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a highly skilled Lead Full Stack JavaScript Developer to spearhead their development efforts and manage a talented team of developers.  

The opportunity

As the Lead Full Stack JavaScript Developer, you will take charge of designing, developing, and managing high-quality applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and AWS services. You will provide technical leadership, oversee development projects, and ensure that best practices are implemented across the team. This role offers the flexibility to work on a hybrid model with occasional office visits or predominantly remotely, depending on your preferences.  

Within this varied role you will:

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of full-stack applications using Node.js, React, and AWS (Knowledge of Vuejs is useful but not essential)

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.  

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.  

- Oversee code reviews, project timelines, and the implementation of best practices. 

- Optimise application performance, scalability, and security.  

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends to maintain a competitive edge.  

The successful Lead Developer will have:

- Extensive hands-on experience with full-stack development, including Node.js, JavaScript, React and AWS.  

- Proven experience in managing and mentoring development teams.  

- Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and related technologies. Experience with AWS cloud services 

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.  

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.  

- Based near Newcastle or open to occasional office visits if working remotely.
