We are partnered with a leading provider of retail software solutions, specializing in environments for single or multi-branch operations across a range of industries, who are seeking a Software Engineer to join their development team.  If you are a C# developer with 2+ years experience and looking for a new challenge, this is the role for you. They are a technology-lead business who are seeking enthusiastic engineers to join their growing R+D team.  Primary Responsibilities:
  • Handle multiple sprint priorities across smaller projects.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to the defined acceptance criteria, maintaining quality and meeting estimated timelines.
  • Take ownership of your own and your team’s project delivery based on the assigned estimates.
  • Follow and contribute to established development standards and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively in an agile environment within a cross-functional team and a matrixed organization.
  • Meet sprint deadlines and milestone goals.
  • Perform unit testing on the code you develop.
  • Participate in and contribute to code reviews, providing and acting on feedback.
  • Collaborate on system design and planning during team meetings.
  • Regularly update progress on tasks using burn-down charts to track your workload.
  • Proactively escalate issues and exceptions, proposing solutions and alternatives where possible.
  • Contribute to the triage and resolution of high-priority issues on a rotating basis.
  • Opportunity to gain experience with integrated delivery pipelines in Microsoft Azure.
Key Qualifications:
  • Experience in software programming.
  • Proficient in .NET / .NET Core using C#.
  • Familiarity with RDMS, SQL databases, or other modern database technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard software development tools, processes, and methodologies.
  • Willingness to learn or experience with distributed systems, particularly microservices.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Awareness of QA and QC processes in software development.
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus: ASP.NET, AngularJS, Blazor, ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Web API.
  • Ability to work within a matrixed organization to fulfill your responsibilities.
